Periprosthetic Fracture: Femur Case 1

Presenting

This 72 year old woman fell and broke her femur above her total knee joint. She was referred to Dr. Brinker 6 months after the injury and treatment at an outside facility by other physicians using a rod. Unfortunately, the fracture failed to heal. Her nonunion was very painful and prevented her from bearing weight on that leg.

Result After Treatment by Dr. Brinker

Her nonunion was stabilized with two plates and healed in 5 months. She has no pain and can now walk without assistance of any type.
